Sailing a 42 Foot sailboat in the Sea of Abaco, Bahamas was an adventure. Especially since it was manned by a crew of two- me and my dad. Our sailing experience was questionable at this point since although my dad was a very seasoned sailor, it had been about 25 years since he had captained a vessel. I took a sailing class in college where we raced Lasers and 16 foot Hobie Cats, so an almost 50 foot keel hull was a bit new to me.
Luckily sailing isn’t as hard as one might think, and all those little skills come back after a few rusty jibes and tacks. And these calm clear waters were a great place to catch up.
